Kindergarten Students Promote Wellness and Holiday Spirit with Tanaka Farms Visit

St. Margaret’s kindergarten students set out on an exciting field trip to Tanaka Farms, tying into their Global Goals.
St. Margaret’s kindergarten students set out on an exciting field trip to Tanaka Farms this week, tying into their Global Goals focus of "Good Health and Well-Being." During the visit, students learned about the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables, gained hands-on experience harvesting produce, and even picked some vegetables directly from the ground. Next week, those freshly picked vegetables will be used in one of the kindergarten class with Gabriela Lopez, kindergarten teacher, to bake healthy carrot muffins, reinforcing lessons on nutrition and the joy of preparing wholesome food.

As part of their ongoing service project, kindergarten students also selected pumpkins during their farm adventure, which they will decorate and gift to Upper School students to help spread Halloween cheer.

"The kindergarteners are excited to deliver their festive pumpkins during Friday lunch, hoping to brighten the day of older students and create a special memory," said Mrs. Lopez.
