TARTAN OPEN SUPPORTS FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM WITH A DAY ON THE GOLF COURSE

St. Margaret’s welcomed more than 100 golfers to El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel for the Tartan Open, a cherished annual fundraiser for the school’s need-based Financial Aid program.

This year’s tournament was a huge success. More than $70,000 was raised for St. Margaret’s need-based financial aid program, which helps make the opportunities of St. Margaret’s accessible to capable and talented students from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

Fellowship and playful competitiveness was in the air as parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and other school supporters gathered to enjoy friendships and 18 holes on a beautiful Southern California day.

Participants enjoyed food and beverages throughout the day, including a latte cart at registration with donuts, a boxed lunch during the tournament, and hot dogs, ice cream and other snacks scattered throughout the course. Out on the course, the golfers participated in a $10,000 Putting Challenge, Hole in One Contest, and various other games. The evening ended with a 19th Hole Reception and a BBQ Dinner in the El Niguel clubhouse where the attendees also participated in raffles, and an awards ceremony naming the three championship foursomes and other individual prizes.
