St. Margaret's topped the Trojans for the second time this season.
St. Margaret's girls golf program knocked off top-ranked University High School 183-186 Thursday at Marbella Country Club. The win marks the second time in a month the Tartans have upset a talented Trojan squad.
Jessica Liu (32, -3) and Annie Weng (34, -1) again led the Tartans, with Liu notching her sixth finish under par this campaign. Vivienne Zhai (38, +3), Savannah Zhou (39, +4) and Nicole Wang (40, +5) shot the round's qualifying scores.
With the win, the 7-2 in league Tartans sit firmly in second place, trailing the leader, Northwood High School. St. Margaret's looks forward to the Pacific Coast League preliminary round starting next week.
