Spring Film Festival Celebrates Student Storytelling and Cinematic Talent

St. Margaret’s cinematic arts students captivated audiences during the annual Spring Film Festival.
St. Margaret’s cinematic arts students captivated audiences this week during the annual Spring Film Festival held in Hurlbut Theater.

The festival featured an impressive lineup of 25 short films created by both Upper School and Middle School students, showcasing a variety of genres, creative perspectives and storytelling techniques. This year’s selections included heartfelt coming-of-age stories, inventive comedies and compelling dramatic pieces, reflecting the imagination and artistic growth of the student filmmakers. Each project was written, directed and edited entirely by students, with films ranging from under one minute to more than five minutes in length.
Attendees also participated in the festival’s popular Audience Choice Awards, voting for their favorite Middle School and Upper School films.

Community members who were unable to attend the screenings can still view the featured films and submit their votes through Monday, May 25 at 9 p.m. using the festival voting link.

Congratulations to all of the talented Tartan filmmakers for their creativity, dedication and outstanding accomplishments in cinematic arts.
