Girls Volleyball Opens Second Round of League Play With 3-0 Win

The Tartans blanked Northwood on Thursday.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball program downed Northwood 3-0 at home Thursday evening. Although the Tartans trailed late in all three sets, St. Margaret's battled back each time with unmatched hustle. With the win, the Tartans improve to 14-8 and 3-2 in league play.

Ella Massoudi returned to the lineup for the Tartans and made short work of the Timberwolves. Massoudi finished with 11 kills and hit .300 on the night. Chloe Wainwright contributed 6 kills in a strong overall performance while hitting .385.

Elena Wang served well for the Tartans, notching 7 aces, no errors on 22 attempts against Northwood's key outside hitters. Sarah MacDonald led St. Margaret's with 16 digs while Sami Duran added 14 digs from the middle back position.

The Tartans will next face Sage Hill School in what looks to be an exciting rematch after the Tartans' 3-2 win over the Lightning on Sept. 19.
