Girls Basketball Swamps Laguna Beach as Wohlgemuth Breaks 3-Point Record

The Tartans dominated the Breakers on Friday.
St. Margaret's girls basketball program brought home a crucial league win Friday, downing Laguna Beach 70-24 to improve to a 2-3 league record.
 
The Tartans were led by Taylor Francois’ 15 points with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals on the night, while Lila Wohlgemuth added 14 points and 4 steals. Wohlgemuth eclipsed St. Margaret's career 3-pointer record, sinking 248 over her four years as a Tartan. The record was previously held by Harper Gideons '25.
 
Annika Tufo (10pts, 4 asst, 6 stl), Ana Cormac (9 pts, three 3-pointers), Marina Romo-Elias (6 pts, two 3-pointers), Cailyn Fisher (3 pts) and Addie West (4 pts, 5 reb) all supported in the win.
 
The Tartans will next face Portola on Jan 28 in a critical league contest.
