St. Margaret's Surf Clashes With Dana Hills in Huntington Beach
The Tartans fared well in the second round of SSS competition.
The Tartan surf program continued its campaign through the Scholastic Surf Series this past weekend, taking on Dana Hills at 9th Street in Huntington Beach.
Several St. Margaret's surfers made impressive runs to the finals on Saturday. Sophomore Colton Ettwein stepped in as an alternate in the bodyboard heats and had a sixth-place overall finish in the event. Logan Cuda bounced back after snapping his board in the semifinal, securing sixth place in the finals.
On the girls' side, Chloe Eskander continued producing strong performances in shortboard action, surfing to a third overall finish, while Chloe Wainwright delivered a strong showing in longboard with a fourth overall result.
The Tartans return to competition on Saturday, November 15, in the third round of the Scholastic Surf Series again in Huntington Beach.
