As an extension of the classroom, our athletic teams are committed to remaining at the forefront of innovation and progressive leadership so that our student-athletes may achieve at the highest possible level.
At St. Margaret’s, students are encouraged to explore their own interests in this vibrant, close-knit community, and Tartans seek opportunities for growth in athletics, the arts, service learning, leadership and more.
PTF Tartan Family BBQ Brings Tartan Community Together
St. Margaret’s community gathered in spirited celebration at Chalmers Field for the annual PTF Tartan Family Barbecue.
Last week, the St. Margaret’s community gathered in spirited celebration at Chalmers Field for the annual PTF Tartan Family Barbecue drawing more than 1,300 attendees. The event offered an evening of great food, lively games, and Tartan pride as families and students came together ahead of the much-anticipated football game against Capistrano Valley Christian.
Tables brimmed with delicious food catered by Bad to the Bone, while students and families enjoyed a variety of games. The lively atmosphere was further energized by live music.
At the end of the night, the community was led to Tartan Field by the stirring sounds of bagpipers and led by St. Margaret’s cheer squad, before the start of the football game.
Adding to the event, attendees were offered a sneak peek of the development of the St. Margaret’s Commons building. Families had the opportunity to sign a commemorative beam, symbolizing their support and excitement for the future community space.
The PTF Tartan Family BBQ continues to be a cherished tradition, bringing together the St. Margaret’s community in celebration of camaraderie, school spirit, and shared memories. To learn more about the Tartans Thrive campaign and the St. Margaret’s Commons, visit tartansthrive.org.
