College Representatives Visit St. Margaret’s as Class of 2026 Launches Application Season
More than 100 colleges and universities from across the country are scheduled to visit St. Margaret’s this fall.
More than 100 colleges and universities from across the country are scheduled to visit St. Margaret’s this fall, offering students a unique opportunity to connect and discuss admission requirements, student life, academic opportunities and more.
As the Class of 2026 begins the college admissions journey, the St. Margaret’s College Counseling Office is facilitating visits from a wide range of institutions, giving students valuable face time with admissions officers to ask questions and gather insights about each school’s offerings. The meetings often take place in small-group or one-on-one settings, allowing for in-depth conversations about everything from academic programs and campus life to application expectations and financial aid.
These visits help students learn more about what different colleges are really like, and in many cases, the representative they meet here is the same one who will review their application.
Representatives from Wellesley College and Northwestern University were among the first to visit campus this week. Upcoming visits will include Emory University, University of California San Diego, Wake Forest University, University of Iowa, and Colgate University, with more scheduled through October.
In addition to the campus visits, the College Counseling Office is hosting events to support families through the application season. This includes the recent Senior College Night, where counselors provided an overview of what students and parents can expect in the months ahead. Grade-specific programming for underclass families is also planned for later this academic year.
St. Margaret’s has four college counselors working individually and in groups with Upper School students throughout the school year—Director of College Counseling Amy Warren, and Associate Directors of College Counseling Erica Huerta, Ben Lah, and Seaby Rodriguez.
