Thank You Parents! Annual Survey Shows Strong Parent Support for St. Margaret’s

St. Margaret’s annual survey inviting parent feedback again reflected high approval toward the school’s efforts to deliver on its Mission during the 2022-2023 school year.
St. Margaret’s annual survey inviting parent feedback again reflected high approval toward the school’s efforts to deliver on its Mission during the 2022-2023 school year.

The Parent Survey was administered between March 30-April 5, asking St. Margaret’s parents how the school is performing in the delivery of its Mission and the likelihood of recommending the school to a friend or colleague—a basic yet highly informative “net promoter score” question endorsed by Harvard Business Review. Parents also had the opportunity to provide narrative feedback.

The survey results were overwhelmingly positive and reflected feedback from a large sample with 417 responses spanning families from every division. In total, 97% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that St. Margaret’s delivered on its Mission this school year, a slight increase compared to previous years.

In addition, when parents were asked how likely they would be to recommend St. Margaret’s to a friend or colleague, with 0 being “not at all likely” and 10 being “extremely likely,” the mean score was 8.7 and the median score was 10 – further demonstrating strong support of the school among parents.

“We are grateful for the partnership we have with our parents to educate and care for our students each and every day,” said Assistant Head of School Ryan Dahlem, who oversees the Parent Survey and presented the results at the PTF General Membership Meeting this week. “Parent feedback is essential as we gauge the efforts of the school to align the educational experience with our Mission. We are pleased to see the affirming results of this Parent Survey, and we are appreciative of the narrative feedback we received that will help inform our decision-making going forward.”
