St. Margaret’s Alumnus Jack Stahl '23 Wins Men's Lacrosse National Championship with Princeton University

Stahl and the Tigers are champions for the first time since 2001.
Jack Stahl, class of 2023, is an NCAA men's lacrosse national champion after Princeton University defeated Notre Dame 16-9 in the Div. I Championship at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Va., on Monday.

Stahl, a Tewaaraton Award Final 25 Nominee, capped a tremendous junior year with a national championship, the first for the Tigers since Princeton last won it in 2001. Stahl finishes the 2026 campaign as a First-Team Inside Lacrosse All-American, First-Team All-Ivy League, a two-time USILA Team of the Week selection and Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week.

Stahl joins the ranks of men's lacrosse national champions, alongside St. Margaret's alumnus Scott McGowan '13, who won a national championship with the University of Denver in 2015.

Also of note, former St. Margaret's student-athlete Jordan Miles was on hand as a student assistant as the Northwestern Wildcats won their ninth NCAA Div. I Women's Lacrosse National Championship at Northwestern University on May 24.

Congratulations Tartans!
