Tartan Boys Lacrosse Blanks Santa Fe Christian 18-0
St. Margaret's poured it on in a non-league win Friday.
St. Margaret's boys lacrosse dispatched San Diego Section foe Santa Fe Christian 18-0 Friday night on Tartan field. The win pushes the Tartans to a 4-0 start to the season.
Carson Barber and Andrew Toubin led the Tartans with 5 goals and 4 assists each in the one-sided win. Ryan Kees notched 3 goals while Jack Shea added 2 goals and 2 assists for the Tartans.
Aston Frankfort (1g), Carter Stanley (1g, 1a) and Arya Saidi (1g) all found the back of the net to keep the Eagles under control, with Cob Sprague adding 2 assists.
At the faceoff x, Hudson Locke won 9 of 15 with Carter Mai going 4 for 5.
Defensively, Lachland Oxford (2gb, 1 fto), Declan Kelly (2gb, 1 fto), Aiden Grumet (1gb, 2 fto), Rhys Thomas (1gb, 1 fto) and Reese Angelos (1gb) shut down Santa Fe's offensive rhythm. Goalkeeper George Knapp recorded the shutout and made 4 saves.
Mount St. Joseph, ranked No. 11 in the vaunted Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association, comes to town next week when the Tartans take on the Gaels on Tartan Field on Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m.
