Tartan Girls Basketball Tops Leuzinger, Advances to Div. III Title Game

St. Margaret's was tenacious in a 54-50 win Saturday.
St. Margaret's girls basketball program is headed to the CIF-SS Finals after a thrilling 54-50 win over Leuzinger High Saturday night.

The Tartans punched their ticket to the final, defeating an athletic Olympian squad led by Jayden Witten's 19 points, 18 rebounds, and 3 steals. Taylor Francois contributed 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists while Annika Tufo added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the Tartans. Tilda Curran had 8 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

25-7 St. Margaret's is set to take on 20-11 Murrieta Valley in the CIF-SS Div. III Final this upcoming weekend. Game time and location will be announced on the St. Margaret's Athletics website.
