Early Decisions Mark Strong Start for the Class of 2026 in College Admissions

St. Margaret’s Class of 2026 are off to an impressive start in the college admissions process, with seniors accepted through the early-decision application window to selective colleges and universities. 
St. Margaret’s Class of 2026 are off to an impressive start in the college admissions process, with 31 seniors accepted through the early-decision application window to a wide range of selective colleges and universities. The Class of 2026 at St. Margaret’s has 115 students.

Early-decision acceptances reflect both the academic strength of the class and the careful college planning undertaken by students and their families. Seniors earned early offers from institutions across the country, including highly competitive liberal arts colleges, major research universities and specialized programs.
Colleges and universities where students have been admitted early decision include Barnard College, Bates College, Bentley University, Boston University, Bowdoin College, Chapman University, Cornell University, Emerson College, Emory University, Lehigh University, New York University, Southern Methodist University, Tufts University, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of San Diego, University of Southern California, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, Washington University in St. Louis, and Wellesley College.

This early success reflects not only strong academic preparation but also students’ thoughtful approach to finding colleges that align with their goals, interests, and values. As the process continues, St. Margaret’s looks forward to celebrating additional acceptances and commitments in the months ahead.

The Class of 2026 has engaged in a comprehensive college counseling program, led by St. Margaret’s College Counseling Office including Director of College Counseling Amy Warren and Associate Directors of College Counseling Erica Huerta, Ben Lah and Seaby Rodriguez. The process includes a College Group Meeting (CGM) block during the school day, one-on-one meetings with each student’s designated college counselor, time with writing specialists to assist students in their college essays, and visits from more than 100 college representatives to St. Margaret’s. 

The college-admissions process is ongoing, and admission decisions will continue to roll in through the spring. Students in the Class of 2026 will make their final commitments by May.
