Ainsworth's Brace Powers Tartans Past Saddleback High

St. Margaret's notched a 2-1 league win in girls soccer last evening.
Avery Ainsworth scored two as the Tartans downed Saddleback High School 2-1 on the road last night.

St. Margaret's recovered quickly from conceding an early Roadrunner goal, displaying remarkable resilience and determination to rise to the occasion and ultimately clinch victory.  Ainsworth stood out for the Tartans, playing a pivotal role and creating numerous scoring opportunities for St. Margaret's.
Defensive stalwart Ava Meeks and seasoned goalkeeper Riley Long showcased exceptional leadership and anchored the back line, contributing significantly to the win.
"Finding a way to win an away game after going down a goal early filled me with immense joy to see the team fight back and come away with a well-deserved victory," said head coach Jenny Anderson-Hammond. "We look forward to returning home tomorrow night to play Calvary Chapel."
The Tartans will look to improve to 2-2 in league play as they face CC Santa Ana at home on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 5 p.m.
