Charlotte Quintanar Named Finalist for OC Artist of the Year

St. Margaret’s junior Charlotte Quintanar was named a finalist for the Orange County Register’s Artist of the Year program in the category of film/animation.
Charlotte, whose specialty is animation and special effects, was one of four finalists in film/animation. According to the Orange County Register, the judges “envisioned Quintanar appearing on PBS someday, given her passion for both science and filmmaking.”
In total, there were 29 finalists announced in seven arts categories, out of an initial list of 646 nominees.
“With an insatiable curiosity both as a scientist and as an artist,” Quintanar said, “the more science concepts I learn, the more I want to teach others, utilizing a creative flair.”
