Cinematic Arts Students’ Talented Work Spotlighted at Winter Film Festival

More than 20 films were showcased, from both Upper School and Middle School cinematic arts students.
The talented and creative work of St. Margaret’s cinematic arts students was on display during the 2022 Winter Film Festival, an 11-day online event where the community could watch student films and vote on their favorites.

More than 20 films were showcased, from both Upper School and Middle School students. Viewers were encouraged to vote for audience choice award winners, and more than 400 votes were cast from friends, family and classmates.

The Upper School Audience Choice Award winner was junior Eva Dandel for her film “The Real Deal.”

The Middle School winners were grade 7 students Luke Evanson and Griffin Illenberger for their film “Abducted.”

Each winner received a certificate and a gift card.

The films were created in St. Margaret’s various cinematic arts classes taught by film teacher Karen Bennett, who also organized the Winter Film Festival. Film is a visual arts elective students can choose starting in grade 7.
