Upper School Teacher Kimberly Kim Named National Humanities Summer Scholar

Ms. Kim is one of 462 teachers from across the United States selected to be an NEH Summer Scholar.
St. Margaret’s Upper School English teacher Kimberly Kim has been selected as a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar, and will take part in a summer seminar studying with experts in humanities disciplines.

Ms. Kim will attend a two-week summer institute titled “Tales from the Chihuahuan Desert: Borderlands Narratives about Identiy and Binationalism” at the University of Texas, El Paso in July.

NEH is an independent federal agency that promotes excellence in the humanities and conveying the lessons of history to all Americans. The agency supports enrichment opportunities like this one at colleges, universities and cultural institutions so that teachers can study with experts in humanities disciplines.
