Three Tartan golf stars, Gabby Eifrig, Jessica Liu, and Annie Weng, competed on Tuesday in the CIF-SS Southern Regional Individual Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills. They faced tough competition and to move on, they needed to finish in the top 24 of 106 of the best golfers in the southern region of CIF-SS. In the end, an excellent score of even par was necessary to qualify. Jessica Liu fell short of that score with a still impressive 79 (+5), placing her in 42nd place and within the top half of the field. Annie Weng's 74 (+0) was low enough to earn her a spot at the SCGA Qualifier. Weng sunk a clutch and exciting 15+ foot putt on her 17th hole to bring her within qualifying range. Gabby Eifrig absolutely tore up the course with a 71 (-3), good enough for a highly impressive finish of 4th place overall.
