2018 Spring Concerts Showcase Talented Tartans—See the Photos!

St. Margaret’s talented musicians were showcased in three straight nights of performing arts concerts on the Hurlbut Theater stage.
Last week, St. Margaret’s talented musicians were showcased in three straight nights of performing arts concerts on the Hurlbut Theater stage. The Spring Band Concert, Spring Orchestra Concert and Spring Vocal Concert collectively featured more than 150 Middle School and Upper School students performing music from a variety of genres and time periods.

Band
More than 65 students in the Jazz Ensemble, Band 6, Band 7 and Concert Band took part in the Spring 2018 Band Concert, performing more than 20 numbers ranging from classical pieces like “Theme From 1812 Overture” to contemporary hits by Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.

Orchestra
The 2018 Orchestra Concert featured performances by the Middle School and Upper School orchestras, totaling 60 students grades 6-12. The concert included performances ranging from “America the Beautiful” to samples from soundtracks of blockbuster films Star Wars, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. There was also a harp solo by Stephanie Amoukteh and a viola solo by Peyton Herrera.

Vocal
The 2018 Spring Vocal Concert featured the 6th Grade Choir and the Highlander Chorale performing a variety of songs, ranging from The Beatles to Queen to music from the Moana soundtrack.

In addition, there were several solo performances, featuring Blake Stevenson, Anneka Miller, Parker Ryan, Daisy Sellas, Bryce Victor, Tommy Colglazier, Nicholas Jacome, Dalen Thomas, Sahar Khashayar, Julia DaMour and Jeni Bauer.

In total, more than 100 Middle School and Upper School students participated in the show.
