Recap: Girls Golf Triumphs as Volleyball Competes in Elite Tournament

The Tartans’ girls golf team defeated Fairmont Prep behind match leader Marissa Mitchell. Girls volleyball will participate in the Nike Tournament of Champions this weekend.

The St. Margaret’s varsity girls golf team defeated Fairmont Prep in non-league action on Tuesday at Bella Collina Country Club. St. Margaret's win was powered by match leader Marissa Mitchell's 4-over-par round of 40. Including Mitchell, four Tartans shot in the 40s; Christina Zhao (42), Natalie Yee (46) and Amy Meng (46). Bella Blount rounded out the scorers with a 60.

The Tartans return to action against Sage Hill this Tuesday, October 3 at Marbella Country Club.

Girls Volleyball

The Tartans girls volleyball team is taking a break in Academy League action to participate in the Nike Tournament of Champions this weekend in Phoenix, Ariz. The event showcases 96 elite high school volleyball teams from across the United States.
