St. Margaret's Drains Westlake 15-5

Tartan boys lacrosse wraps up regular season at 17-2.
The Tartan boys lacrosse program coasted to a 15-5 win over visiting Westlake High School Friday night on Tartan Field.

Connor McKenna (4g, 2a) and Austin Hicks (4g) paced St. Margaret's offense, never letting the Warriors gain a foothold. Carson Barber (2g), Brody Booen (2g, 1a) and Adam Horcasitas (2g, 2a) kept the Tartan attack humming. Johnny Iavarone added a goal in the win.

Defensively, John Ullem notched 3 caused turnovers with Caswell Friedman picking up a team-high 7 ground balls. Goaltender Eben O'Brien made 11 saves on the night.

The No. 1 in CIF-SS Div. I Tartans will enjoy a bye in the first round of playoffs and face the winner of Corona del Mar and Crespi, who play on May 1. The Tartans are battling for their first CIF-SS Lacrosse Championship since winning the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section title in 2019.
