Girls Basketball Headed to the CIF Finals!

The Tartans are finals-bound for the second time in as many years.
St. Margaret's girls basketball outlasted St. Monica Prep 49-41 Saturday night to advance to the CIF-SS Div. 3A Final. The Tartans will face cross-town foe JSerra Catholic High School on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Edison High School.

Lila Wohlgemuth led the Tartans with 15 points while Annika Tufo added 11 pts, 12 rebounds and 2 steals in the win Saturday. Taylor Francois had 9 pts and 5 assists, with Harper Gideons contributing 7 pts and 6 rbs.

"We are thrilled to be heading back to Edison High this season for the CIF Championship. This team has continued to show their toughness, togetherness, and experience throughout this playoff run," said head coach Josh Markum. "Our team has made multiple comments about how excited they are to compete in the championship again this season, but more than that, they are excited to continue playing together. Their love for each other and competing has played a huge role in their postseason success."

St. Margaret's looks to repeat as CIF-Champions against JSerra Saturday, having previously won the Div. 5AA crown in 2023.
