Tartan Boys Soccer Advances With 3-1 Wildcard Win

St. Margaret's defeated La Serna to enter the CIF-SS Div. IV Postseason.
St. Margaret's boys soccer program defeated the La Serna Lancers 3-1 in the CIF-SS Div. IV Wildcard Round on a rainy Tuesday evening to advance to the first round.

Jayden Pelaes kicked things off for the Tartans, scoring on a chipped ball over an overextended Lancer keeper to put St. Margaret's up 1-0. Austin Stolper followed up with a rocket that found the corner of the La Serna goal to make it 2-0 before the half. Stolper again found the net, scoring on a penalty kick early in the second half. The Tartans held on to seal the 3-1 win and ticket into the first round of the postseason.

St. Margaret's has a quick turnaround and will face 12-1-3 Monrovia High School on the road on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m.

Go Tartans!
