Tartans Sweep Sage Hill and Clinch League Title on Senior Night

St. Margaret's wins its 25th league title in girls volleyball.
The Tartans celebrated seniors Kate Cruse, Ava Lentz, Caroline Sele and Nikki Swenson Tuesday night by blanking Sage Hill School 3-0 and clinching the San Joaquin League title. Notably, St. Margaret's seniors are on track to garner more than 20 wins per (normal) year during their careers.

St. Margaret's relied on Brady Moseley (8 kills), Nikki Swenson (6 kills) and Kate Cruse (7 digs) in the one-sided victory. As a team, the Tartans achieved a .424 hitting percentage which was a match-high for the year. Just under 90% serves in, and a 17 ace to 11 error ratio sealed it for the Tartans.

This league championship marks the 25th title in school history, tracking back to 1986 and the final San Joaquin League Championship as the Tartans move to the Orange Coast League in 2022.

The Tartans will return to the court to face CVCS on the road on Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
