Tartans Advance Nine Athletes to CIF-SS Track & Field Finals
St. Margaret's track & field programs continue to impress on large stages.
St. Margaret's track and field programs had a big day at the CIF-SS Prelims at Carpenteria High School this past weekend. Nine Tartan athletes have moved on to the finals to be held on Saturday, June 12, at Carpenteria High School.
St. Margaret's advanced in the following events:
Girl's 4x1- Malia Todd, Sophia Kistler, Sophia Karahalios, Makenna Lizarde Boy's 1600m- Jackson Adelman, Calvin Capelle Girl's 200m- Makenna Lizarde (PR of 25.87) Boy's 3200m- Everett Capelle (PR of 9:45.51) Girl's 4x4- Annabel Thiel, Sophia Kistler, Malia Todd, Makenna Lizarde Girl's Pole Vault- Jane "Celeste" Taylor
"I am very excited to watch our athletes compete next weekend. They have been working hard all season, and it is great to see that hard work finally pay off," said head coach Edgar Vazquez. "Saturday will be very exciting, and the kids look forward to putting on one last great performance."
