Senior Christine Kao to Join Cheerleading Squad at Northwestern University
Kao is headed to Evanston, Ill. in the fall to join the Wildcat squad.
Senior Christine Kao will join the Northwestern University Wildcat Spirit Squad this fall after successfully making the team after trying out. Due to COVID-19 protocols, Christine had to navigate a virtual try-out and composition and demonstration of an original routine over remote meetings.
The Wildcat Cheerleaders cheer at all home and away football games, all home men's and women's basketball games, as well as various basketball tournaments around the country, and school and alumni events throughout the year.
"I am so incredibly proud and excited for Christine as she begins this new and exciting journey at Northwestern, cheering on Big Ten teams," said St. Margaret's head cheerleading coach Kylie Middlebrook. "She is exceptionally talented and is sure to enjoy cheering on the Wildcats at some of the most storied stadiums in college athletics."
