St. Margaret's Sweeps San Joaquin League Track & Field Championships
The Tartans dominated at the league finals at The Webb Schools Thursday evening.
St. Margaret's Track & Field program's excellence was on full display Thursday evening, as the Tartans relied on 20 individual event wins to outpace the competition at the San Joaquin League Championships. The boys squad powered to a 200 point victory while the girls squad accumulated 234 points, capturing both league crowns.

The San Joaquin League awarded Track Athlete of the Year to Jackson Adelman and Makenna Lizarde, while Nick Ostlund was named Boys Field Athlete of the Year. Head coach Edgar Vazquez is the San Joaquin League Coach of the Year.
"The team did a great job going out there and competing. We pre-scored the meet based on qualifying marks, and the kids exceeded those predictions," said head coach Edgar Vazquez. "The best part of this championship was the kids coming together as a team and winning as a family. ‘The name in the front is more important than the one in the back’ that's been our motto this entire season. Proud is an understatement of how I feel about our kids."
