Tartan Tennis Continues to Roll, Downs Diamond Bar to Advance to Quarter Finals
St. Margaret's outlasted the Brahmas 11-7 on Friday afternoon.
St. Margaret's girls tennis team defeated Diamond Bar High School 11-7 Friday afternoon to advance to the CIF-SS Div. III Quarter Finals.
The Tartans were led by great singles performances by Seychelle Balog and Audrey Harrington, winning all six of their sets. On the doubles side, St. Margaret's duos of Rori Ghahreman / Sophia Karahalios, Bella Karahalios / Alysse Pusey and Julia Schulze / Grace Nolet held their own and picked up crucial points for the Tartans.
"It was an exciting match, and the girls stepped up their intensity on the court," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "They were pleased with the win and are looking forward to another tough match on Monday against Alta Loma."
St. Margaret's will enjoy another home match, facing Alta Loma at Saddleback College on Monday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.
