Francois Smashes Points Record to Lift Girls Basketball Over Maranatha

The Tartans cruised past the Minutemen 58-28.
St. Margaret's girls basketball program picked up a non-league win Saturday, downing Maranatha 58-28.
 
Jayden Witten led with 15 points and 3 blocks, while Lila Wohlgemuth had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the win. Taylor Francois added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to put her at the top of the all-time points list with 1,276 career points, eclipsing a record set in 2012 by Jenny Tedori (1,266).
 
The Tartans will next face Sage Hill on the road in an important league battle on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
