Tartan Football Earns CIF-SS Postseason Berth

St. Margaret's finished the regular season with a win over Westminster.
St. Margaret's football will enter the CIF-SS Div. X playoffs with a 6-4 record and the No. 3 spot in the Kappa League after defeating Westminster High School 7-3 this past Thursday.

The Tartans and Lions fought a defensive battle at Westminster, which saw St. Margaret's quarterback Beau Blount (4/7, 63 yds, 1 TD) connect with Andrew Toubin (1/17, 1 TD) for a 17-yard TD strike and the only touchdown in the game. St. Margaret's defense was tough all evening, shutting down the Lions at every turn. Sebastian Salazar led with 12 total tackles, while Reese Angelos notched two interceptions in the win.

St. Margaret's will travel to face 6-4 Redlands East Valley High in the opening round of the CIF-SS postseason on Friday, Nov. 7. Please consult St. Margaret's athletics website for full game details.
