Girls Volleyball shut down Portola Thursday night.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball program beat Portola High School 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-23) on the road Thursday to improve to 16-5, 5-3 in league.
Arianne Bruckner (9 kills, .400) and Serena Torrance (4 kills, .400) delivered strong performances out of the middle for the Tartans, while Ella Massoudi led with 13 kills on the night. Elena Wang (7 kills) and Malak Laraki (5 kills) followed closely behind.
Sarah MacDonald anchored the defense with 22 digs and passed for a strong 2.5 rating.
Precise serving was front and center for the Tartans with 10 aces and a 91% efficiency. Massoudi (4 aces) and Wang (3 aces) led a balanced performance for St. Margaret's.
The win guarantees the Tartans a CIF postseason bid with one league contest left to play.
