Tartan Girls Volleyball and Tennis Programs Roll in Early Season Wins

St. Margaret's girls volleyball and tennis teams picked up non-league wins yesterday as the early-season contests pick up pace.

 

 

The Tartans downed El Doroado 3-0 Tuesday at home pushing St. Margaret's to a 10-1 start to the season.

St. Margaret's relied on efficient offensive play from both serve-receive and in transition while hitting an exceptional .395%.

 

Ella Massoudi turned in another outstanding all-around effort, leading with 15 kills, .520% hitting, 4 aces and 6 digs. Elena Wang had her best hitting performance of the season with 9 kills on 20 attempts. Arianne Bruckner (7 kills on 14 att., 0 errors), Malak Larali (5 kills) and Serena Torrance (3 kills, 3 blocks) kept the Tartans on top all afternoon.

 

Sarah MacDonald anchored the defensive effort with 15 digs and notched an exceptional 2.5 in passing.

 

The Tartans next face Trabuco Hills on the road on Sept. 3.

 

 

St. Margaret's got the 14-4 win against hosts Anaheim on Tuesday afternoon to open the 2026 campaign.

Anna Farias won both of her sets while the doubles team of Chloe Liu / Elle McCallister won all three of their sets to put St. Margaret's over the Colonists.

 

The doubles teams of Lauren Lee / Julia Maxey and Chris Tang / Amina Khan also won all sets played.

The Tartans will look to carry the momentum forward as they take on Los Amigos on Sept. 3.
