Sean Olvera-Harle '22 Set to Start as Placekicker at University of Hawai'i

Olvera-Harle won the starting job after an impressive fall camp.
Sean Olvera-Harle, St. Margaret's Class of 2022, is ready to make his starting debut for the University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors after an outstanding fall football camp. Olvera-Harle, a walk-on for the 'Bows, served as a kickoff specialist in the 2025 season and was a backup to Hawai'i's legendary kicker Kansei Matsuzawa.

Olvera-Harle followed a circuitous route to Hawai'i after leaving St. Margaret's, where he was a standout on the Tartan football, soccer and baseball teams. After enrolling at the University of Oregon in 2022, Olvera-Harle took a year off from his studies before enrolling at Saddleback College, where he competed in football for the Bobcats. After a stellar season, making 11 of 14 field goals with a long of 47 yards, Olvera-Harle earned a walk-on roster spot at Hawai'i. The 2025 season saw Olvera-Harle put 11 of 32 kickoffs into the end zone in six games played.

The Rainbow Warriors and Olvera-Harle will open the 2026 campaign on August 29 with a road trip to Stanford University.
