Lower School Present Annie KIDS In An Unforgettable Show 

More than 60 Lower School students took center stage in a vibrant production of Annie KIDS, delighting audiences with energetic performances, memorable musical numbers, and heartfelt storytelling last weekend in the Hurlbut Theater.

Featuring two casts composed of grade 4 and 5 students, the production showcased the remarkable talents of young performers who brought enthusiasm, confidence, and dedication to every scene. Audiences were treated to beloved songs including “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” and “Tomorrow,” each delivered with impressive vocals, expertly coordinated choreography, and infectious energy.

Directed by Zach Hanna, with music direction by Lex Leigh, choreography by Carly Taberski, and assistant direction by Abby Illenberger, the production also marked a special milestone: the 50th anniversary of Annie. The creative team worked to honor the enduring legacy of the beloved musical while providing Lower School students with an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Gordon Richins and Jeremy Brewer brought the world of Annie to life through dynamic rotating set pieces and a striking recreation of the Statue of Liberty, creating an immersive backdrop for Lower School student performers.
