Girls Beach Volleyball Fools Jesters 4-1 in CIF-SS First Round

St. Margaret's dominated in the opening game of the Div. III Playoffs.
The Tartan girls beach volleyball team jumped out to a quick start in the CIF-SS Div. III Postseason, defeating St. Joseph's of Lakewood 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
 
St. Margaret's pairs Sami Duran and Elena Wang powered through both of their sets to set the Tartans up for success. Chloe Wainwright and Sarah MacDonald secured a 2-set win, with Ella Massoudi and Ella Bertolino securing the win for the Tartans with an overtime 22-20 win. Embry Ambe and Elin Barnett wrapped up the match for St. Margaret's, limiting St. Joseph to single-digit points and notching the win.
 
The Tartans (9-6) advance to Round 2 and take on Canyon of Anaheim (14-5) at Huntington State Beach on Thursday, April 23, at 3 p.m.
