Four Tartans Honored With All-CIF Honors in Girls Basketball

The program capped a tremendous year.
Four St. Margaret's girls basketball program members were honored by CIF Southern Section as Div. III All-CIF awardees at the beginning of April.
 
Coach of The Year: Josh Markum 
 
Coach Markum led the Tartans to a 27-8 record and the school's second CIF Championship in four years.
 
Player of The Year: Jayden Witten
 
Witten had a breakout rookie year for the Tartans, averaging 16.6 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game and 2 steals per game during St. Margaret's postseason run. Witten delivered a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds in the Tartans' 57-41 CIF Final win over Murrieta Valley. Witten was also named to the OC Register's All-Orange County Third Team.
 
All-CIF First Team: Taylor Francois
 
The Claremont McKenna commit notched 12.6 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 4.8 assists per game and 2 spg for the Tartans throughout the playoffs. Francois leadership on the court put the Tartans over the top in the finals and earned Third Team All-Orange County honors.
 
All-CIF Second Team: Annika Tufo
 
Headed to Tufts University in the fall, Tufo contributed 8.8 ppg, 7 rpg, 1.2 spg, including 11 points and 5 rebounds in the CIF Final, for the Tartans.
