Girls Basketball Headed to Postseason After 53-49 Win Over Rosary

The Tartans return to the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.
St. Margaret's girls basketball punched its ticket to the CIF Postseason with a 53-49 win over Rosary this past Friday.
 
Jayden Witten had a big night, dropping 35 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals to power the Tartans over the Royals. Taylor Francois continued to contribute offensively, adding 9 points and 5 assists, while Lila Wohlgemuth had 6 points and 5 rebounds on the night. Annika Tufo rounded out the Tartans' effort with 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.
 
The Tartans followed up the big win with a convincing 40-31 win over Christian School El Cajon on Saturday.
 
With the win against Rosary, the Tartans return to CIF Postseason play and look to repeat the success of the 2023 CIF Championship season. Playoffs are slated to begin the second week of February. 
 
St. Margaret's will close out the regular season with a home game against Sage Hill on Feb. 3.
