St. Margaret's dominated end-to-end last week.
St. Margaret's football program kicked off the 2025 season with a convincing 38-6 win over the visiting Arlington Lions last week.

Running back Sam Orellana punched in 2 touchdowns on the ground and ran for 137 yards on 11 carries.

St. Margaret's took a  17-0 lead into halftime after Mason Allison added a 22-yard field goal three minutes before the half. Arlington emerged from the locker room for the third quarter and promptly returned the kickoff to the Tartans' 6-yard line. The Lions leaned on their run game to find the end zone, making it 17-6 Tartans. St. Margaret's quickly responded, marching down the field with Letcher connecting with Kleinhanzl for a 45-yard TD strike. It was the Tartans' game after that.

Defensively, St. Margaret's relied on Sebastian Salazar, who notched 18 total tackles and a sack on the night. Graham Holcomb added a sack and 8 tackles while Jack Klausner had 9 tackles for the Tartans.

Kicker Mason Allison was 5 for 5 on PATs with 1 field goal made.

St. Margaret's will next face La Salle College Prep on the road on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
