St. Margaret's Boys Tennis to Meet Cypress in CIF Div. III Quarterfinal

The Tartans dispatched Nordhoff 11-7 Friday.
The Tartan boys tennis program moves on to the CIF Quarterfinals after defeating a talented Nordhoff High School 11-7 on Friday.

Despite a lengthy bus trip to Ojai, St. Margaret's hit the ground running, sweeping all 9 doubles sets with the teams of Dawson Mai/Cole Roberts, Justin Qiao/Daniel Cai and Braeden Nock/Kian Vargo all playing well. Dillan Grover was clutch for the Tartans, winning 2 of his 3 singles sets.

"I was very proud of all the boys and how they competed on Friday. It was a long bus ride up to Ojai, and they could have been tired, but we came out with a purpose and played extremely well, especially on the doubles courts," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "We are looking forward to our next match with Cypress today."

The Tartans take on Cypress High School at Cypress in the CIF-SS Div. III Quarterfinal on Monday, May 8 at 3 p.m.
