Grade 4 Tartans Turn Sillers Hall Into ‘Santa’s Scottie Village’ for Padres Unidos Families
The village included items donated by the entire Lower School community, from pajamas and clothing to books and toys.
St. Margaret’s grade 4 students created a Christmas shopping experience for families in the Padres Unidos program at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, turning Sillers Hall into “Santa’s Scottie Village.”
The village included items donated by the entire Lower School community, from pajamas and clothing to books and toys. Grade 4 students set the donations up on tables to allow Padres Unidos families to shop for items, and even provided gift-wrapping services to package the presents to take home.
The close involvement of the grade 4 students in reaching out to solicit the needs of families, collecting donations, and sorting, wrapping and delivering the packages made the service project even more impactful.
