Boys Volleyball Continues to Roll Through League Competition

St. Margaret's kicked off the week finishing third out of 32 teams at the Valley Christian Volleyball Tournament.
The Division III No. 3-ranked Tartans had a big week, finishing third at the Valley Christian Volleyball Tournament this past Saturday and knocking off Academy League foe Crean Lutheran on Tuesday night.

The Valley Christian Tournament was played over two days and was made up of 32 teams from different divisions. The Tartans finished the tourney tied for third place with a match record of 5-1, the only loss coming at the hands of Peninsula High School, the No. 3 ranked team in Division II. The well-balanced Tartan offense was led by junior Ethan Hill with 48 kills, junior Lewis Smith with 19 kills and 10 blocks, senior Cameron Dosanjh with 21 kills, senior Tyler Aitken with 44 kills, and senior Gavin Clarke who dished out 142 assists. Tyler Aitken earned All-Tournament honors for the Tartans with strong play on both offense and defense.

The Tartans continued their success on Wednesday with a 3-0 win over Crean Lutheran. Tyler Aitken led the offense with 13 kills. The Tartans are currently 3-0 in league play and 12-2 overall.

St. Margaret's will face Whitney High School at home on March 29 to continue league play.
