St. Margaret’s Day: Mr. Moseley’s Kindness Challenge
Head of School Will Moseley challenged the school community to use the 40 days between Thanksgiving break and New Year’s Day to “share kindness with those around us and use the gift of our free will to bless others.”
In a stirring homily during the St. Margaret’s Day All-School Eucharist on Thursday, St. Margaret’s Head of School Will Moseley challenged the school community to use the 40 days between Thanksgiving break and New Year’s Day to “share kindness with those around us and use the gift of our free will to bless others.”
Mr. Moseley spoke of seizing this time to make a conscious choice in how we approach each day.
“Be thoughtful about our impact on each other and the world around us, and use these 40 days to share one act of kindness each day,” Mr. Moseley said. “My guess is that this practice will become a part of your daily routine.”
The entire student body celebrated the school’s namesake and the history of the school during St. Margaret’s Day on Thursday in Pasternack Field House. Mr. Moseley recognized former heads of school Markham Campaigne (1986-2003) and Marcus Hurlbut (2003-2013), who attended the special day.
Mr. Moseley also spoke of the kindness and service that guided Queen Margaret in her life, and cited the J.K. Rowling quote “our mere presence on this planet has an impact on the lives of others.”
