St. Margaret's regained its stride after a 24-48 loss to The Bishop's School last weekend by blanking the Laguna Beach Breakers 38-0 Friday night.
The Tartans, led by senior quarterback George Krantz's four touchdowns and 238 passing yards, easily handled the Laguna Beach Breakers Friday night in front of an energetic home crowd. With 481 offensive yards, St. Margaret's looked to put behind them a frustrating road loss last weekend.
Sophomore back Koa Todd had 72 yards rushing with a receiving touchdown as backfield mate senior Nick Krantz contributed 80 yards with a long of 34 yards. Receivers senior Auston Locke (7 catches for 167, 2 TD) and junior Ryan Cragun (2 for 17, 1 TD) kept the Breaker's secondary in fits all night.
Defensively, the Tartans held Laguna Beach to just 97 total yards and dominated the line of scrimmage for most of the evening. Senior James Eidt had eight tackles (two for a loss) and three sacks while Ryan Cragun pulled down an interception on the Tartan seven yard-line to preserve the clean sheet.
The Tartans return to action against Whittier Christian Friday, September 30, 7 p.m. on Tartan Field.
