Senior Taylor Francois Commits to Continue Her Academic and Athletic Careers at Claremont McKenna College

Francois joins eight Tartans from the Class of 2026 to commit to play intercollegiate athletics.
St. Margaret's Episcopal School is pleased to announce that Taylor Francois has committed to continue her athletic and academic career at NCAA Division-III Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA.

Francois joins eight St. Margaret's student-athletes who committed during the winter signing period.

Francois had a historic run as a member of the Tartan girls basketball program. She is set to graduate as the school record holder for free throws made in a season and career, free throws attempted in a season and career, career assists, career points, career minutes and career wins. Francois also guided the Tartans to two CIF-SS titles (2023, 2026) where she recorded a double-double in both games, as well as a runner-up finish in 2024.

Francois also departs as the No. 2 all-time in rebounds, No. 5 all-time in steals and a member of the 1,000-point club. She is a two-time All-OC Team selection, three-time All-CIF selection, and four-time All-League awardee.

Aside from her prowess on the hardwood, Francois has completed over 500 hours of community service through organizations she is passionate about, and made a major impact on the St. Margaret's community through her involvement in ASB, cheer, Admissions Ambassadors, Peer Pals and Special Camp.

"Claremont McKenna is gaining far more than a record-breaking athlete. They are gaining a proven leader, a competitor who thrives in big moments, and someone who will continue to make a positive impact wherever she goes," said St. Margaret's girls basketball head coach Josh Markum. "It is an honor to have coached Taylor and to celebrate everything she has accomplished—and just as importantly, the example she has set."
