Boys Tennis and Volleyball Notch Important Early Season Wins
The Tartans look to seasoned veterans to kick off the 2026 season.
St. Margaret's boys tennis and volleyball teams marked successful starts to the spring season by downing their respective opponents yesterday.
Boys Tennis
St. Margaret's took on Pacifica Christian at Saddleback College Tuesday and came away with a convincing 16-2 win.
Dillan and Davin Grover dominated in singles action, winning their sets. Lucas Mallaman won both of his sets, while Parker Oh won all 3 doubles sets paired with Dawson Mai and David Zhang. Alex Fluman and Kasra Haghighat won all three of their doubles sets to bring the win home for the Tartans.
St. Margaret's will next face El Toro on Thursday, March 5.
Boys Volleyball
The Tartans picked up a league victory Tuesday, downing University 3-1 at home.
St. Margaret's started off with exceptional team defense, with exceptional transition play putting pressure on the Trojans, resulting in set wins of 25-13 and 25-11. University regrouped in the third with a 25-21 win, but the Tartans held on to close out the match with a 25-20 fourth set win.
St. Margaret's middle blockers led the attack, with 16 kills by Beckett Harvey and 13 kills by Miles Eaton. Eaton hit for an exceptional efficiency of.667 with 13 kills on 18 attempts and only 1 error. Ry O Hill and Botty O'Kane added 8 and 5 kills, respectively, while setters Dylan Otto and Logan Cuda managed setting duties and creating solid match-ups for the Tartan hitters.
The Tartans will take on Capistrano Valley at home on Thursday.
