St. Margaret's Names Benjamin Siff as Next Head Coach of Tartan Baseball Program
Siff has been an assistant for the Tartans since 2016.
St. Margaret's is proud to announce the appointment of Benjamin Siff as the school's next head baseball coach for the 2027 season.
Siff will replace current Tartan head coach Scott Wallis, who is relocating out of Orange County after the 2026 season. Siff has been on Wallis' staff since 2016, leading the St. Margaret's pitching staff and developing numerous First-Team All-League selections for the Tartans.
"I am truly honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as the next head baseball coach at St. Margaret's Episcopal School upon the completion of this current season," said coach Siff. "Many thanks to coach Wallis for his leadership here at St. Margaret's and the other assistants who have worked so hard over the years. I am looking forward to carrying on the program's traditions while building something truly special for the student-athletes and the greater school community.”
Siff has also served as a head coach for the Irvine Colts Baseball Club, leading the program to 15 championship berths while developing numerous selections to the USA Baseball National Team Identification Series. Siff was a co-founder of the ASD Bulldogs Baseball Program, a competitive youth and high school travel baseball organization that has advanced 40+ players to the collegiate and professional levels, including five active Major League Baseball rosters. Prior to joining St. Margaret's, Siff was the head junior varsity coach at JSerra Catholic High School.
Siff received his Bachelor of Science in recreation management with a minor in business from the University of Hawaii, Hilo. Siff was a member of the Vulcans' NCAA Div. II baseball program, earning WAC Pitcher of the Week honors in 2000, and was named UH Hilo Rookie of the Year in 1998.
"St. Margaret's is thrilled to have our future head baseball coach in place with Ben Siff. He has been a critical component of the baseball program for the last 10 years, has had a tremendous track record of building successful youth club teams here in Orange County, and has a wealth of experience as a high school baseball coach," said St. Margaret's Director of Athletics Dan O'Shea. "We are confident that his vision will allow the program to continue to rise to unprecedented heights while providing a truly exceptional experience for every student-athlete in the program."
