Tartan Revue Brings Concert-Level Energy to the Stage

St. Margaret’s Upper School performers brought their talent to the stage, delighting a sold-out audience with a powerhouse mix of music, dance, and comedy.
St. Margaret’s Upper School performers brought their talent to the Marcus D. Hurlbut Theater last week during the annual Tartan Revue, delighting a sold-out audience with a powerhouse mix of music, dance, and comedy.

Directed by Chris Carbajal, band director, the evening featured performances from The Tartan Dance Company and The Tartan Revue Band. From powerful vocals and dynamic choreography to hilarious hosts and an incredibly touching senior number, each act highlighted the remarkable versatility and artistry of Upper School students.

The immersive production elements, which included in-ear monitors, click tracks, and a vibrant concert-style light show designed by Upper School student Gavin Shams, transformed the theater and created an unforgettable experience for both performers and audience members.

Reflecting on the unique opportunity the Tartan Revue provides, Mr. Carbajal shared that the Tartan Revue gives students a true professional performance experience. “Every arrangement is custom-crafted for each performer, and our dynamic light show rivals what you’d see at a top LA concert. It’s an unforgettable, real-world opportunity for young musicians to shine,” he said.
