Girls Volleyball's Comeback Sinks Laguna Beach 3-2

The Tartans displayed great tenacity in the win.
St. Margaret's had to claw back from a two-set deficit to down Laguna Beach in a 5 set win (25-27, 15-25, 25-21, 25-20, 17-15) Thursday night at home.
 
Sami Duran and Ella Massoudi led the Tartan attack with 23 and 21 kills, respectively. Chloe Wainwright added 7 kills out of the middle while Charlotte Sele added 2 kills in the win.
 
Duran (.300) and Massoudi (.420) also contributed strong hitting over the last three crucial sets. The Tartans enjoyed a strong team serving performance (15 aces with 7 errors) with Sarah MacDonald leading with 7 aces and anchoring the defense with 22 digs. Ella Bertolino (11 digs) and Elena Wang (10 digs) shored up St. Margaret's defensive effort.
 
The 4-3 in league play Tartans will next face Rosary Academy on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
