St. Margaret's Girls Golf and Tennis Programs Come out Swinging

The Tartans opened the 2025 campaign with wins this week.
The Tartan girls golf and girls tennis teams opened their seasons this past week and came away with impressive results.
 
Girls Golf
 
The Tartans dominated Woodbridge 202-229 on Thursday in non-league action at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Club in Irvine.
 
Captains Jessica Liu (39, +3) and Annie Weng (37, +1) were the low scorers for the Tartans, while Nicole Wang, Savannah Zhou, and Viv Zhai all recorded 42 (+6) on the day.
 
The Tartans will again face the Warriors at Marbella Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
 
Girls Tennis
 
St. Margaret's defeated Bolsa Grande High School 15-3 at Bolsa Grande this past Thursday.
 
The 1-0 Tartans were led by Rylee Carlson, who won all three of her singles sets, with the doubles team of Aviva Wang and Sophie Zhang notching three set wins. Anna Farias contributed two wins in her singles sets, while the doubles teams Caitlin Roberts/Ellie Pooler and Fiona Bonilla Duncan/Ella Kyle won both doubles sets they played.
 
St. Margaret's next faces cross-town foe CVCS at Saddleback College on September 2.
